Good thing for chainsaws!

12 January 2008

Wow, We got a lot done thanks to the hard working crew that turned out. We had a total of 11 people show up to show support for the CDF and all the great trails they have in the Demo forest.

Most of the crew worked throughout the day to stop and clear existing drains of silt build up as we worked down ridge trail. Scott Robinson and some of the workers went ahead to clear drains and buff out the trail while Ed from the CDF and myself cut overhead branches out of the way to clear the trail for riders of horses and bikes. We also cut of trees that had fallen accross the trail, blocking it in some locations.

Along with all that maintenance we also removed a huge amount of fallen branches from the trail that would take out derailluers.

So to summarize we got a ton of stuff done that included drain repair, trail tread repair, tree trimming, stunt repair, and don't forget sharing some tasty beverages and snacks at the end of the day. Enjoy the trail s and we'll see you out there at the next trailwork day!
